報告人簡介：

郭玉勁，教授，博士生導師，華中師范大學數學與統計學學院院長，國家杰出青年基金及優秀青年基金獲得者、中國科學院“百人計劃”（優秀）入選者。主要研究非線性泛函分析中的變分理論及其在非線性偏微分方程、數學物理等領域的應用，先后在微機電系統MEMS方程、質量臨界約束變分理論、量子多體系統分析等方面做出過一系列原創性科研成果。在美國數學會出版一部英文研究專著【Courant Lecture Notes in Math. 20】，在Comm. Pure Appl. Math.、Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal.、Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.、J. Math. Pures Appl.、Ann. Inst. H. Poincaré Anal. Non Linéaire、Proc. Royal Soc. London Ser. A、SIAM J. Math. Anal.、Nonlinearity、J. Funct. Anal.、JDE、CVPDE等數學期刊上發表50余篇學術論文。

報告摘要：

In this talk, we discuss ground states of Thomas-Fermi-Dirac-von Weizsacker theory with the Coulomb potential. We focus on the uniqueness and multiplicity of ground states in the large exchange energy limit. This is joint work with Bin Chen and Shu Zhang.
